Aries Horoscope for Year 2011

Aries Horoscope for Year 2011

Jupiter expands whatever he touches. He usually spends about 13 months in each zodiac sign. His job is to bring joy, adventure, open-mindedness, advanced education, travel, global perspectives, and a sense that we are all one big happy family and not so very different from each other. Because of his expansive tendencies, he brings “prosperity” and “abundance” to whatever concept he is focused on. If things are good, he brings an abundance of good. If things are bad, he brings an abundance of bad.

As 2011 begins, Jupiter is still in Pisces and your twelfth house until January 22nd when he moves into Aries and your first house. Normally, Jupiter spends about 13 months in each zodiac sign, but this year it is a bit different. Jupiter flies through Aries at mach speed and then moves into Taurus and your second house on June 4th where he will stay for the rest of this year.

In Pisces, Jupiter focuses on kindness, compassion, charity, emotional well-being, spirituality, intuition, empathy, and bringing a sense of “magic” to the world.

For Aries, he will be in your twelfth house of mental health, spiritual mysteries, secrets, bureaucracies, and “hidden forces that work behind the scenes”. Hosting Jupiter in this area of your chart should be of great help when dealing with government agencies, large corporations, institutions, hospitals, prisons, and other bureaucracies. Jupiter brings good luck to these areas of your life, so you could find that things work in your favor. Jupiter will also be working to bring you more joy, inner peace, happiness, and a sense of well-being into your spiritual practices, relaxation efforts, and emotional processes. When other planets clash with Jupiter during his time in Pisces and your twelfth house, you could see a marked increase in deception, gullibility, addictions, self-destruction, and/or bureaucracy. However, Jupiter’s goal is always to bestow blessings upon you whenever he can.

In Aries, Jupiter embraces Aries’ pioneering spirit, enthusiasm, fiery passion, and willingness to compete for the sheer entertainment of it. Unlike Aquarius’ teamwork approach to life, Aries is all about racing to the top and being number one. Aries is generous, boisterous, and charming. The competitive nature is not a selfish or mean energy, but a childlike “last one there’s a rotten egg!” type of playful energy. Jupiter can have great fun bringing more of this optimistic can-do energy into the world.

For Aries, it happens in your first house of “me”. This is the area of your chart that governs your outer personality, your appearance, and your sense of self-identity. This is a lucky time for you. You are encouraged to learn, grow, stretch your wings, and reach for your dreams. Of course, there are times when you can be “too Aries-like”, but overall you should find that your generous, charming, and fun side is magnetizing people into your life.

In Taurus, Jupiter helps to expand Taurus’ love of financial security, materialism, comfort, status, self-worth, and “mine”. Taurus rules over assets, wages, salaries, personal wealth, net worth, and one’s sense of self-esteem. Globally, we will see the economy rebounding in a strong and stable manner. Like Taurus the Bull, we could also see an increase in stubbornness, caution, and conservatism. After Aries’ fiery power, it is natural to then move into a strong but quiet personal power. Taurus loves good food, good wine, a comfortable sized savings account, and the ability to relax and enjoy the finer things in life without fear of poverty or competition. Jupiter helps to boost this type of environment.

For Aries, Jupiter will be in your second house of personal wealth, assets, salaries, wages, net worth, and self-worth. You have the planet in charge of good luck, abundance and prosperity in the zodiac sign of personal wealth and the house of personal wealth. This is an excellent time for working on finding ways to bring more financial stability into your life.

Saturn creates our personal challenges and “tough love” learning experiences. He usually spends about two and a half years in each zodiac sign. His job is to create learning experiences that are often uncomfortable but ultimately quite meaningful. Saturn also rules over karma, cause and effect, ethics, and our sense of civic duty. Therefore, it is not only important that we learn our life lessons well, but that we also conduct ourselves with honor and integrity while going through these challenges. If we stay out of trouble, behave ethically, buckle down, and learn our lessons well, then Saturn rewards us with a gift just before he leaves that zodiac sign. For example, if Saturn were traveling through the area of our charts that deals with professionalism, leadership, and success, then he would teach us some tough lessons about those concepts. Then, if we learned our lessons and we behaved ourselves while doing so, Saturn wo

[Yu Hwang Wu's Language Essay] Study Strategy & Tips for Success in '2011 College Entrance Exam'

Even before the lingering storm of college entrance exam for 2010 academic year is gone, the 2011 academic year college scholastic ability test already entered its count-down. To-be high school 3rd graders testees and repeaters are facing a period left with not even 'D-300' that they should jump-start preparation in earnest for college scholastic ability test.

In particular, as the 2011 academic year college entrance exam is the last college entrance test which will present questions from the same contents and scope as earlier college scholastic ability tests, competitions are expected fierce and tensions are rising among the testees. On top of that, candidates screening methods of colleges grew much more diverse, and 'the 2011 college entrance exam' is demanding even more tightly established test strategy than ever before.

In order to shatter the 'weights' by the 'vagueness' on what and how to start and college entrance policy etc different from last year, we set out for the support of to-be-testees with the 'Study Strategy & Tips for Success in '2011 College Entrance Exam' with the help of the president of 'Yu Hwang Wu Language Essay'.

^Firmly establish the goal such as college and major that suit your career vision and aptitude!

That is by all means the first thing you are to do before jump-starting college scholastic ability test mode. When your goals are not firmly set up, your preparation is very liable to fall prostrate not finding any clue after all. Hence, you are advised to find out the aptitude and career path of your own, check your own conditions, set up goal by deciding on five to six colleges and majors that you want to enter, and then prepare for the college entrance exam.

Once your goal is thus established, you are on your way to find the screening requirements that suit your conditions and set up the exam strategy for entrance to your desired college and major. Of course, on such basis, sufficiently feasible specific study plan will also need be set up as well.

^Devise study strategy by the periods for the college scholastic ability test that is not even 300 days ahead!

The study strategy required for the testees by the major periods is the method of using the time until the real test most effectively. Without setting up strategy period-specifically like winter vacation, 1st semester, simulated test, summer vacation and 2nd semester etc, you cannot but fall into a pitfall of feeling monotonous throughout the test preparing period or doing only skin-deep study on the lessons that you have accomplished so far.

From March when the 1st semester starts, it is best to proceed with preparation for occasional application openings strategically with focus on regular application opportunities. To look at application with mid upper level, preparation for 3rd grade 1st semester intramural transcript also should endeavored. During summer vacation that offers long study period with the highest study efficiency among test preparation periods, you might seriously determine whether to apply for occasional openings, and set up and prepare for the goal by it. This period is also the days when you finally decide on the elective courses of college scholastic ability test. In September which is the period to jump-start full scale preparation for college scholastic ability test, you really need simulated test based study. It means you are demanded to be accustomed to the study of college scholastic ability test type. You just need to arrange the question trends and types by solving previously presented questions of college scholastic ability test by the areas, and checking incorrect answers is a simply must.

^Set up plan for occasional application openings in tune with the extended opportunities of occasional screening!

The quota for 2011 academic year occasional application opening is estimated 230,000 or so which is an increase of 10,000 or so over last year. It means occasional openings comprise the majority, which represents over 60% of the entire application quota. Hence, to testees, setting up plan for occasional openings is not a consideration done 'if necessary' but is a 'must'.

In particular, the criteria of occasional special openings that screened only with transcripts and assay previously are anticipated to diversify to more options like local balanced development, local leading talents, special talent holder, excellent potential ability holder, and principal recommendation etc, so testees can approach one step further toward success in college entrance only if they check the major contents of each opening and prepare for openings that are just right for themselves.

In addition, let's not forget to check that colleges are increasingly conducting aptitude tests in occasional application openings. As aptitude test presents questions in object

Lessons (and other morbid drabbles)

A man learns a painful and valuable lesson... one finger at a time.
An old couple bickers over disgusting leftovers.
Kids go ignored when they tell their parents about the horrors that lurk in their bedrooms, until it's too late...

LESSONS AND OTHER MORBID DRABBLES is a collection of 25 100-word shorts that range from darkly comic to downright terrifying and wrong. Some shorts feature ghouls and monsters while others are simply about people behaving very, very badly. Which is scarier? Find out in this sick and twisted collection.

They may only be a few words long, but that doesn't lessen the bloodshed any...

"It's hard to write a good story in exactly 100 words. It's even harder to do it twenty-five times in a row. But Michael Crane pulls it off. He really knows how to hit you in the gut and keep on swinging. I loved this little collection, and I think you will, too."
--Daniel Pyle, author of DISMEMBER and DOWN THE DRAIN

"I know what you're thinking - stories in under a 100-words? That sounds ridiculous and unenjoyable. But you're wrong. Dead wrong. They are morbid, but they're fun and quick and perfect."
--Amanda Hocking, author of HOLLOWLAND and the MY BLOOD APPROVES series

"Do you like horror? Do you like bite sized pizza? If so, you'll love Michael Crane's LESSONS AND OTHER MORBID DRABBLES. Each story here is exactly 100 words long. They're just as delicious, quick to consume, and horrifyingly bad for you as those little pizza snacks. Enjoy!"

Looking Down The Barrel Of a Big Old Gun - IMF Comes To Ireland

Looking Down The Barrel Of a Big Old Gun - IMF Comes To Ireland

MS. ATKINSON: Good morning everybody and welcome to our biweekly press briefing. I'm Caroline Atkinson, the Director of the External Relations Department at the IMF. As usual this briefing is embargoed until 10:30 a.m. Washington time, 1530 GMT.

A couple of things before we turn to your questions online and in the room. The Managing Director, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, will be in Frankfurt tomorrow speaking at two different events, at the ECB Conference which I believe began today on approaches to monetary policy and lessons from the crisis, and at the European Banking Congress. He will be delivering a speech there. We will let you know when it is available on our website and I'm not sure yet whether we will have a version prepared for delivery. The week after next on December 2, the Managing Director will be in New Delhi meeting with officials and again giving a speech at a roundtable at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The First Deputy Managing Director John Lipsky is going to be delivering a speech next week in New York on November 23 at the Economic Club, and then he will be going to Dubai to participate in the World Economic Forum Summit on the Global Agenda on 27 to 30 November.

I can turn now to your questions. As usual, if you could identify yourselves, your name and your organization.

QUESTIONER: Could you tell us more about the IMF team that is in Dublin today, how many people, their names and titles, if possible? Also how is their mission or mandate been defined by the IMF? Finally, if the IMF does loan money to Ireland, what sort of interest rate would be taking about? Would it be comparable to the rates being charged of Hungary and Latvia and what are those rates? Thank you.

MS. ATKINSON: Let me begin with the last question which is perhaps the simplest. First of all, we have not received a request for financial support so anything to do with that is hypothetical, but I can tell you that we have perfectly standard interest rates and charges. I don't have them off the top of my head but they are available and we can get back to you with that, and they are available on our website. On your other questions, you're right that there is an IMF team actually en route to Dublin now. The Mission Chief will be Ajai Chopra who has been the Acting Director of our European Department. We're waiting for the new director who will be taking up his duties at the of November. Aja is very experienced in the IMF and he's been working on European countries for a long time. He's been leading the Euro Area consultations and he has already landed in Dublin. But the rest of the team is arriving and they will be able to begin work tomorrow morning, Friday morning.

QUESTIONER: How big is the rest of the team?

MS. ATKINSON: I believe there are some banking team experts and regular country experts. I'm not completely sure of the numbers but I think it's around 10 or 12. The other person who will be there is Ashoka Mody who was the leader, the Mission Chief, for the Article IV consultations on the last two occasions so that you may be familiar with him. And the other team members who typically go to Ireland and then the particular banking sector experts as the focus of these consultations as we described on Tuesday and as the Europe Group described, the focus of the consultations is to look at whatever measures might be needed to support financial stability and protect against market risks in the light of the Irish government's 4-year budgetary plan.

QUESTIONER: How long will they stay in Dublin?

MS. ATKINSON: It just depends. We never say at the beginning of our missions how long teams will stay. It depends on how the technical discussions continue and so on.

QUESTIONER: Would these be the same people who went to Athens, Mr. Chopra and Mr. Komodi? Would they be the same people who handled the Greek crisis?

MS. ATKINSON: No.

QUESTIONER: They're not the same people?

MS. ATKINSON: They are not the same people, no. In fact, there is a team in Greece now, so those are the people. Yes, at the back?

QUESTIONER: Two things. One, can you explain what has happened since I guess a couple weeks ago when the IMF repeatedly said that it did not believe that Ireland needed any special assistance, that its budgetary proposals and actions were sufficient to meet their crisis situation? Secondly, Irish officials have indicated that any IMF funding wouldn't necessarily require conditionality because it would be meeting bank capital buffers rather than government loans. Is that accurate to say?

MS. ATKINSON: The second part of your question is hypothetical about what would we do if there were a request for financial support and so I'm not going to go there. I would refer you to other cases where we believe that it's important to have government ownership of policy measures, and as we have seen in Greece there has been important public ownership even though measures that the government is taking there have

Scarred

Scarred

I am ugly. I am disfigured. I have multiple scars of all kinds. Late at night when I strip myself of clothes and look in the mirror, I see all sorts of scars. I have multiple cuts on my legs, a big bruise on my thigh, various burned marks on my upper arms, a few lashes on my back and countless cuts all over. I have a broken rib too that no one knows about. Its funny how whenever I examine myself I find a new scar. There had been so many incidents; I can’t remember which one caused which scar. Sometimes I look at one and try to remember if it was the blade, or the belt. I don’t remember if it was a cigarette burn or an iron. The memories are blurred but the pain remains.

I cover myself, as much as I can. So that people don’t see these scars—the scars that don’t seem to fade away. Because when they see, they ask about them and I have to make up stories to tell them. And after a while I even forget which story I made up to go with what scar.

You wonder why I always keep my hair down? I am hiding the bit marks on my neck. That night, I remember he almost pulled my hair out of my head and the next morning he woke up and said, “I don’t remember what happened.”

I remember those nights when I’d run. I would run and hide under the closets, under beds, even under the house. I'd cover my ears while silently screaming my prayers. Sometimes I would get lucky and he would forget all about me. Other times he would find me then I’d be in more trouble. So it was an all or nothing sort of a risk I would take.

The problem is, I can hide some scars, but some, I just can’t. Every time I look at the mirror I see the cut mark on my forehead. I still don’t know what it was that he hit me with that night. I blacked out before I could find out.
And then I see those burnt marks on my hands. I still don’t understand why he put his cigarette on my hand. I was so young back then, what could I have possibly done to be punished like that.

I wanted to run away. I wanted to run away but I couldn’t. I was too small, and he was too big. He could scare anyone. I was too ashamed and too scared.

But I am ok now. We left eventually. He would have killed us if we hadn’t left. I am all better now. But I don’t really know how to get rid of these scars. They stay. Usually I ignore them and go on. That’s how it is. I cover them up. I ignore them. And when I need to know just how human I am, I touch them. I look at them. I remember. And if I remember enough, I cry. Then I ignore them again and go on being happy.

Day 74: Scar 2: The Knee of Doom.

Day 74: Scar 2: The Knee of Doom.

Oh where do I start! This knee (my right knee) has SEEN some things!

before 1987 - I was the catcher on all my youth league teams...and my knees were feeling the pain...

1987 -Summer: Hyper-extended playing on a diving board.

1988 Fall - Surgery - scoped and the such.

1989 College, Freshman Year Swim Team, Fall - start to have more trouble. During my re-hab, my left leg slipped off the weight machine, dropping the weight and slams into the back of this leg...creating more pain. The knee started clicking in and out every time I pushed off the wall.

Yellow (with some gunk on the tip), Charcoal (not the smoothest application), Baby Pink (this one goes on nicely), and Copper (also applies easily).

Basically, the matte colors don't go on well, but the ones with a bit of pearl to them went on nicely.

Makeup Bag Cosmetic Case Cake

Makeup Bag Cosmetic Case Cake

Princess Pamper Party

This cake was made for my little princess who is turning 6. We had 'Princess Pamper Parties' - (find them on Facebook as one of my 'likes' - they are great!) come and do all the girls hair, make-up and nails. The girls had a great time and all looked like the beautiful little princesses that they are once they were all made up.

Soooo cute ... anyway, in line with the theme of the party, what better cake to have than a cosmetic bag and makeup? :)
